Delegation from Edutus University Visits SXVTC

From May 5 to 9, a 5-member faculty and student delegation from Edutus University, Hungary paid a visit to our university, engaging in in-depth exchanges and seminars focused on the preparation for the World Vocational College Skills Competition. Led by Dr. Szonja A. Buslig, Advisor of Edutus University and Vice President of the Hungary-China Friendship Association, the delegation included Jámbor Kornél, Technical Lead of the university’s robotics competition program, coach Zsigó Zsolt, and two student representatives. During the visit, both sides conducted in-depth exchanges and cooperation covering competition technologies, innovation and entrepreneurship projects, and cultural mutual learning, injecting new momentum into the international development of vocational education at both institutions.

Shen Lihua, Director of the College Development Committee, extended a warm welcome to the Hungarian delegation. Cai Xiaoxia, Dean of the School of Electromechanical Engineering and Transportation, introduced the school’s school-running characteristics, achievements in major construction, and innovative development outcomes of integration between industry and education. Jámbor Kornél from Edutus University shared an overview of the university, its characteristic and advantageous majors, as well as its education and development philosophy.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on the preparation for the 2026 World Vocational College Skills Competition. The Hungarian delegation visited the Innovation Workshop of the School of Electromechanical Engineering and Transportation and showcased the competition equipment for the EDU Robotics Cup on site. Bence Molnár gave a detailed introduction and demonstration of the EVO eye-tracking AI bionic mechanical system, elaborating on its design concept, application scenarios and complete operation procedures. Teachers and students of relevant majors in our college observed and studied attentively, and engaged in interactive discussions actively. In strict compliance with the competition regulations of the World Vocational College Skills Competition, teachers and students from both sides carried out joint pre-competition training covering the whole process, including in-depth interpretation of competition rules, confirmation of competition events, optimization of competition plans, assembly and construction of competition equipment, programming and debugging, as well as full-scale simulation drills. Both parties agreed to establish a regular online communication mechanism to steadily advance the implementation of cooperative projects.

During the visit, the delegation toured the “Shaoxing Institute of Technology and Innovation, Edutus University” settled in our college, further advancing the cooperative school-running between the two institutions. They also visited the Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum, Zhejiang Institute of General-purpose Mortar, Construction Safety Experience Center, Modern Business Service Training Center, and Smart City Industry-Education Integration Complex.

In addition, both sides held cultural fellowship activities including Chinese calligraphy and handicraft making.
