Delegation from Edutus University Visits SXVTC
On January 20th, Dr. Andrea Gál Némethné, President of Edutus University, Dr. Szonja A. Buslig, Professional Consultant; István Détári, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center; and Angéla Kiss, China Education Expert of Edutus University, visited Shaoxing Vocational & Technical College. Shen Lihua, Director of the College Development Committee, along with representatives from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and the deans of relevant secondary schools, warmly received the guests.
The delegation conducted an on-site tour of Smart City Industry-Education Integration Complex, Calligraphy Exhibition Hall, Intelligent Manufacturing Training Center, Urban Rail Transit Training Center, Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum, Zhejiang Institute of General-purpose Mortar, Model Museum, and Modern Business Service Training Center. They learned about our college’s achievements in the construction of platforms for teaching and training, industry-education integration, and cultural education, as well as our distinctive school-running features.
At the symposium, Shen Lihua extended a warm welcome to Dr. Andrea Gál Némethné and the delegation on behalf of the college. She expressed the hope that based on the existing Memorandum of Understanding, the two institutions would deepen practical cooperation in information technology, intelligent manufacturing, e-commerce and other fields, and steadily advance educational cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between both sides. Dr. Andrea Gál Némethné thanked the university for the warm reception, introduced the development history of Edutus University, and stated that taking this visit as a link, the university intended to promote multi-dimensional and in-depth cooperation and exchanges across various fields.
During the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on faculty exchange, university-enterprise cooperation, technical and vocational training, international competitions, joint curriculum development, standard formulation, resource sharing and talent cultivation. They also signed agreements to jointly establish the “Budapest Institute of Engineering and Technology, Shaoxing Vocational & Technical College” and the “Shaoxing Institute of Technology and Innovation, Edutus University”.
Witnessed by representatives from both sides, Andrea Gál Némethné and Shen Lihua jointly unveiled the plaques for the “Budapest Institute of Engineering and Technology, Shaoxing Vocational & Technical College” and the “Shaoxing Institute of Technology and Innovation, Edutus University”.
In the afternoon, the delegation delivered a series of lectures for teachers and students of our college. Dr. Andrea Gál Némethné, Angéla Kiss and Dr. Szonja A. Buslig shared insights into Hungary’s education system and the development of Edutus University, fully presenting local Hungarian customs and the university’s educational characteristics. István Détári gave a special lecture entitledLearning in the AI Era and the Future of Universities, exploring the profound changes and impacts of artificial intelligence on global learning models, teaching modes and campus life. The lectures featured rich content and diverse perspectives, building a face-to-face communication platform for teachers and students of both institutions and effectively broadening their international vision.
This visit not only consolidated the friendship between the two institutions, but also laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation in multiple fields in the future. Moving forward, the two institutions will establish a regular exchange mechanism and make positive contributions to educational cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and Hungary.
