From May 10 to 11, a four-member delegation led by Dato’ Sevendor Khor, Vice President and School Supervisor of Lincoln University College, Malaysia, together with International Affairs Officer Gaire Kishor and Visiting Professor Wang Yigui, paid an exchange visit to Shaoxing Vocational & Technical College. Shen Lihua, Party Secretary of SXVTC, Yang Yan, College Consulor, as well as relevant persons in charge of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center and the Medical School warmly received the guests.

At the exchange meeting, Shen Lihua extended a warm welcome to Sevendor Khor and her delegation on behalf of SXVTC. She reviewed the pleasant cooperation history between the two sides and hoped that both institutions would carry out in-depth cooperation in talent training, teacher and student exchanges, the development of the Yueyi Institute, and academic research. Sevendor Khor introduced Lincoln University College’s school-running philosophy, program offerings, talent training and international cooperation layout. Both sides held in-depth discussions on the further development of the Sino-Malaysia Yueyi Institute, the exchange and reciprocal appointment of teachers, and the advancement of student study tour programs. Consensus was reached on the joint compilation of bilingual textbooks for Appropriate Traditional Chinese Medicine Techniques, the collaborative research and development of TCM medicinal cuisine, the launch of TCM knowledge training for Malaysian students and community residents, and the mutual organization of summer camp activities between the two institutions.

During the visit, Sevendor Khor delivered a special lecture entitledCharacteristics and Culture of Nursing Programs in Malaysiato students of the Medical School, introducing the development status, features and employment prospects of the nursing profession in Malaysia.


Sevendor Khor also attended and observed classes of the Sino-foreign cooperative Nursing Class 21 Nursing 6. She spoke highly of the teaching quality as well as the learning attitude of teachers and students, and put forward valuable suggestions for the future teaching of Sino-foreign cooperative programs.

On the evening of May 11, Sevendor Khor was invited to attend the 2023 International Nurses Day Celebration and Capping Ceremony for Grade 21 nursing students held in Xunmei Auditorium of SXVTC. At the ceremony, the two institutions conducted reciprocal appointment of Honorary Professors. Lincoln University College appointed Chen Xiaoping, Deputy Dean of the Medical School of SXVTC, as Honorary Professor; meanwhile, the Medical School appointed Dr. Sevendor Khor, Vice Chancellor of Lincoln University College, as Honorary Professor. Sevendor Khor officiated at the capping ceremony for Grade 21 nursing students, extended festive greetings to them, and encouraged the students to study diligently and strive to become excellent professional nurses.


The delegation visited the Smart City Industry-Education Integration Complex, Nursing Training Center, TCM Training Center and other practical training bases of SXVTC. They participated in hands-on TCM medicinal cuisine activities at the TCM Training Center. Sevendor Khor showed great interest in TCM medicinal cuisine and moxibustion. She stated that she would organize students from Lincoln University College to study TCM medicinal cuisine production and moxibustion techniques at our university, so as to gain an in-depth understanding of traditional Chinese medicine culture. In addition, Sevendor Khor held exchanges with relevant administrators and professional teachers from the School of Information Engineering. She highly appreciated the design concept of the Smart City Industry-Education Integration Complex, which integrates scenario experience, technical refinement, skill training and innovative practice into one platform, and expressed the hope to launch cooperation in the IT field between the two institutions.
Lincoln University College is a full-time comprehensive higher education institution offering diploma, undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs. It is rated as a 5-star University by the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia. Its vocational programs such as nursing, clinical medicine and stomatology rank among the top three among private universities in Malaysia.
SXVTC signed a cooperation agreement with Lincoln University College in June 2020. The jointly-run higher vocational nursing program officially enrolled students in 2021 and now has 130 enrolled students. SXVTC has established the Sino-Malaysia Yueyi Institute and the TCM Medicinal Cuisine Research and Innovation Workshop at Lincoln University College, regularly holding TCM cultural lectures and training on appropriate TCM techniques for Malaysian teachers and students, jointly developing TCM medicinal cuisine, and spreading and promoting fine traditional Chinese culture.
