Establishment of the Shaoxing Vocational and Technical College — Accademia di belle Artilegalmente Riconosciuta di CUNEO Creative Design Research Center

Recently, the signing and plaque unveiling ceremony for theShaoxing Vocational and Technical College — Accademia di belle Artilegalmente Riconosciuta di CUNEO Creative Design Research Centerwas held in Heyi Hall of the Cultural Center, Shaoxing Vocational & Technical College. Hu Zhigang, authorized representative of Accademia di belle Artilegalmente Riconosciuta di CUNEO; Shen Lihua, Party Secretary of SXVTC; Yang Yan, College Consulor; Xu Zefang, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center; Yu Junyi, Deputy Dean of the School of Architecture and Design Art; together with discipline leaders and faculty representatives of the cultural and creative professional cluster attended the inauguration ceremony.

Hu Zhigang congratulated the establishment of the research center. He stated that this project is of great significance to both Shaoxing Vocational & Technical College and Accademia di belle Artilegalmente Riconosciuta di CUNEO. With the founding of the center, creative talents from the two institutions and two countries will jointly carry out research and cooperation in culture, design and other fields, enhancing the cultural and creative competitiveness of both sides.

Shen Lihua remarked that the official launch of the Creative Design Research Center marks another solid step forward in the college’s international exchange and cooperation, as well as a new platform for the development of the Interior Art Design program. She expressed the hope that relying on the Sino-foreign cooperative education program and the postgraduate platform of the creative design center, the two sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of cultural creativity under the framework of joint development, and make positive contributions to sustainable development and friendly exchanges between teachers and students of both institutions.

It is reported that the research center is an important cooperative achievement in the international exchange of cultural creativity and design innovation between SXVTC and Accademia di belle Artilegalmente Riconosciuta di CUNEO. Undertaken by the School of Architecture and Design Art, it aims to build a platform for cultural and creative exchanges and artistic design cooperation between SXVTC and Italian art institutions.

After its establishment, teachers and students from both sides can carry out international teaching seminars, academic research, international competitions, joint exhibitions, technical training and design services via the platform.

The Sino-foreign cooperative higher vocational program in Interior Art Design jointly run by SXVTC and Accademia di belle Artilegalmente Riconosciuta di CUNEO was approved in June 2020 and officially enrolled its first cohort in 2021.
